OUTREACH PROGRAMS

Heirs' Property
KKAC recognizes the vast number of minority owned acres in heirs' property and even further, the quick rate at which the African-American community is losing land. KKAC conducts outreach meetings that address heirs' property issues and emphasizes the need for estate planning. KKAC is interested in assisting African-American landowners in the steps to begin clearing the titles to their land and encourages landowners with interest in heirs' property to fill out our contact information/request for assistance form or contact our office.

Debt Relief
The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 provides relief to minority farmers with existing USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) debts. Minority farmers must ensure their race is on file with the USDA by submitting form AD-2047 to their local FSA office. KKAC encourages minority farmers in this category to fill out our contact information/request for assistance form or contact our office for assistance and advocacy throughout this process. We will submit the form to FSA on your behalf and work with you throughout each step of the process.

NRCS Programs
KKAC conducts outreach meetings on USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Programs to include the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP), Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), and the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP). KKAC provides this education and technical assistance to minority landowners, primarily in Arkansas and Mississippi, who are interested in applying for these programs. Minority landowners who are interested and would like assistance from us should fill out our contact information/request for assistance form or contact our office. We will submit the program applications to NRCS on your behalf and work with you throughout each step of the process.
