The KKAC Organization is proud to release a new publication, “Creating a Blueprint to Building and Retaining Wealth for African American Landowners.” Written by attorney Tabitha Lee, Esq., this feature highlights KKAC’s journey, mission, and impact in strengthening landownership for historically underserved communities.
Since 2016, under the leadership of Executive Director Wilbur T. Peer, Sr., KKAC has grown from a rural youth education program into a nationally recognized nonprofit supporting African American landowners. With a focus on equity, resources, and education, KKAC provides:
- Youth programs that reconnect students to agriculture and introduce them to hundreds of career paths in the ag industry.
- Community outreach that bridges the gap between landowners and federal resource programs such as USDA and NRCS.
- Advocacy and legal support to address heirs’ property issues, estate planning, and land succession planning.
- Conservation opportunities for land, water, and wildlife preservation while generating income for families.
KKAC’s work has resulted in thousands of landowners receiving support, millions in added land value, and the retention of wealth that strengthens families for generations to come.
“KKAC is named after my grandchildren: Kaleb, Korey, Andre, and Cole. That’s what all of this is about. Family.” – Wilbur T. Peer, Sr.
The report also highlights partnerships with national organizations and local leaders who see KKAC as a vital partner in creating systemic change and restoring wealth in African
American communities.
